“CHOPRA GROUP OF INDUSTRIES”, a group of companies with a turnover of $40 million, consists of Eight full fledged flagship units. The group laid its foundation in the year 1982, to cater the high-end segment of Indian Stainless Steel utensils manufacturing industry, by setting up a plant for manufacturing Stainless Steel Sheets (Patta), under the name of Chopra Chemicals. The initial installed capacity of the group was 600 M.T. p.a and since then there has been no looking back and we have gradually grown today to 36000 M.T.p.a.

The products of the group are excellent in quality and enjoy a high reputation in the domestic as well as in international market. The group is having a leading and respectable name in the trade of Stainless Steel industry in India in all respect and it is ranked amongst the largest re-rolling plants in the Asian Continent.

All the units of the group are located at Jodhpur in the north-western state of Rajasthan in India and the group's leading company ‘Shree Chanchal Ind. Pvt. Ltd.’ with a production capacity of 12800 M.T. p.a. is the first S.S. re-rolling unit in India to receive the quality certification of ISO 9001:2000. The company plays a major role in domestic market of S.S. and is accountable for a major share of total production of the country.

More expansion plans are under consideration of the Management and the groups marching ahead towards its goal of producing of 50000 M.T. p.a. of S.S. Sheets (Patta).

The project of backward integration to produce basic raw material (S.S. Flats, Blooms, Billets, rods, H.R. Coils and other products of S.S. of all grades) by putting up an additional plant at large scale is under consideration. Further the program of production of value added items of Stainless Steel is also under the active consideration of the management.

Our R&D department is working on this project and we are hopeful of making this dream true in the near future.

We have full fledged Research and Development department headed by qualified and experienced technicians. Our R&D department is equipped with latest equipments and apparatus so as to carry out various researches and tests. We spend a handsome fund every year on R&D and this center always remain busy finding out various economical ways of commercial production and various new applications of S.S. This R&D department keeps a constant watch on the future developments and also implements successfully the various expansion schemes. On account of our continuous efforts on R&D we are today ahead of our competitors in the S.S. Sheets segment in the country.

The R&D center has also been responsible for the development and enhancement of a substantial part of the company’s plant and machinery as well as for implementing and monitoring quality control.

The company spends a handsome amount every year on pollution control and encourages eco-friendly activities such as tree plantation and water treatment etc.
